My daughter is in her final year of the three year Casa program at Boardwalk Montessori. We are exceedingly grateful to all of the staff at Montessori, and particularly her teachers, Hugh and Shelagh, for creating such a warm and intellectually stimulating environment where Claire has flourished. She began as a shy, nervous three-year-old and has blossomed into a confident five-year old with a love of learning and an enthusiasm and curiosity about the larger world. At Boardwalk, the classrooms are designed to foster independent learning while developing and nurturing social skills in a mixed-age classroom. The small class size means a lot of individual attention to each child’s development, and as a younger child Claire enjoyed mentorship from older students and now is learning nurturing skills as she has grown into a mentor herself. She has embraced music, French, and art, all of which are part of the regular program. Based on our daughter’s experience, we will not hesitate to send our son for the full three year program at Boardwalk when he is ready to start school next year.
